BIRDS off BROADWAY is pleased to offer expert grooming services by Rita Rodriguez.  “Grooming Day” is always the 1^st and 3rd Saturday of every month by appointment.  Drop-ins will be accommodated as the appointment schedule allows.   If the first Saturday of any month isn’t convenient for you, please don’t hesitate to contact us – we’ll do our best to accommodate you.  Wing-clips ONLY can be accommodated on other days by appointment. 

Rita has over 9 years of experience hand-feeding and grooming birds of all sizes, shapes and colors!  She began at the former Avian Breeding and Research Center (ABRC) in Loxahatchee where she hand-fed “hundreds and hundreds” of baby birds. 

After ABRC closed, Rita worked at Kookaburra’s and then Parrots Plus in Lantana. 

Rita has many loyal customers that have followed her from store to store so that she can continue to groom their birds.  It is obvious that Rita is a true “bird lover” not only because of how she interacts with each bird she grooms but because she has adopted 15 birds of her own ranging from a Canary to a Green Wing Macaw!
